The far eastern taluka on the Ujani backwaters, famous for the flamingos at Bhigwan and on the route of the Tukaram palkhi.

About the taluka
Indapur lies at the eastern end of Pune district, between the Bhima and Nira rivers. Large parts of it are watered by the backwaters of the Ujani dam.
Known for
- Bhigwan, where flamingos and many other birds come in winter.
- Sugar cane and sugar factories.
- The Sant Tukaram palkhi passes through Indapur on its way to Pandharpur.
