How is the gold rate on this page worked out?
We take the international gold price in US dollars, convert it to rupees at today's dollar rate and add the Indian import duty (15%). It is an estimate. Jewellers in Pune may quote a little more or less.
Is GST included in the gold rate?
No. 3% GST is added when you buy, and jewellers also charge making charges on ornaments.
How often are the rates updated?
Gold and silver are updated several times a day. Currency rates are the daily reference rates of the European Central Bank, published once every working day.
