About the taluka
Bhor was a princely state until 1948, ruled by the Pant Sachiv family. The old palace (Rajwada) in Bhor town is still standing and is often used for film shoots.
Known for
- Raireshwar, where young Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his companions are said to have taken the oath to found Swarajya.
- Bhatghar dam and its backwaters.
- Varandha Ghat, a scenic road from Bhor down to Mahad in the Konkan.

Bhor Rajwada, Raireshwar plateau, Bhatghar dam and the Varandha Ghat road. The ghat road can close in heavy monsoon rain, so check first.
