About
Malshej Ghat carries the road from Junnar down to Murbad and Kalyan. In the monsoon the hills are covered with clouds and waterfalls, and the Pimpalgaon Joge lake on the plateau attracts many birds.
What to see
- Waterfalls along the ghat road.
- Harishchandragad and Naneghat for experienced trekkers.
- Combine with Shivneri, Lenyadri and Ozar near Junnar.
How to reach
Drive via the Pune Nashik road to Narayangaon and Junnar, then on to Malshej.
Tips
- Landslides sometimes close the road in heavy rain. Check before you go.
- Do not stand under waterfalls. Rocks can fall with the water.
