The three big stands

  • Swargate: at Jedhe Chowk, the busiest stand, mainly for buses going south and to the Konkan: Satara, Kolhapur, Sangli, Mahabaleshwar, Ratnagiri and beyond. The PMPML city bus depot and the Swargate metro station are right next to it.
  • Shivajinagar (Wakdewadi): on the old Mumbai highway, mainly for buses going north and east, such as Nashik, Ahilyanagar and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
  • Pune Station: near Pune Junction railway station, with buses to many parts of the state.

Shivneri, Shivshahi and e-Shivai

MSRTC runs air-conditioned buses on busy routes, such as the Shivneri and the electric e-Shivai to Mumbai. Since October 2026 there is also a direct e-Shivai bus from Swargate to the Navi Mumbai International Airport.

Tips

  • Book long journeys on the MSRTC website or app, especially around festivals.
  • Which stand a bus leaves from can change. Check your ticket before you go.
