Autorickshaws
Autos are the easiest way to cover short distances in Pune. They are supposed to run by meter, at fares set by the Regional Transport Office (RTO). Night fares are higher. Ask the driver to start the meter before the ride begins.
App cabs and bike taxis
Ola, Uber, Rapido and other apps offer cabs, autos and bike taxis across Pune. They show the fare before you book, which helps visitors.

Prepaid taxi and cab counters are available at the airport and at Pune Junction.
Tips for a safe ride
- Always ask for the meter, or use an app that shows the fare.
- Share your trip details with family when you travel late at night.
- Note the vehicle number. Complaints can be made to the Pune RTO or in the app.
