History
Kasba Ganpati is the gramdaivat, the guardian deity, of Pune. By tradition the temple is linked with Rajmata Jijabai, who settled in Pune with young Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and is said to have had the temple built or restored near Lal Mahal. The idol is a small one covered in sindoor.
