About the garden

Udaan Biodiversity Park (Udaan Jaiv Vividhata Udyan) has been open since 2012. It was created by the Pune Municipal Corporation together with the Zensar Foundation, the trust of the software company Zensar Technologies.

The aim was to turn barren, rocky land into a living habitat where many kinds of plants, birds and insects can thrive. It is one of the largest green spaces in east Pune.

What you can see

  • A lake and a waterfall.
  • Plots of flowers, vegetables, spices and herbs.
  • Boards explaining the plants in English, Marathi and Braille.
  • Jogging tracks and places to sit and rest.

Timings and entry

  • Open: 6 am to 11 am and 4 pm to 9 pm, all 7 days.
  • Entry: Free.

How to reach

The garden is at Lohegaon, Viman Nagar. City buses and autos come close to it.
