About the garden
Lakaki Lake is one of Pune's best-kept secrets, a calm lake hidden in Model Colony. It grew from an old natural lake and was developed by the Kirloskar family. The name comes from the initials of Laxmanrao Kashinath Kirloskar, founder of the Kirloskar group: La, Ka, Ki.
A walking track runs round the water, with benches placed so that each one gives a different view of the lake. It is rarely crowded, which makes it a good place to read, think or just watch the birds.
What you can see
- A walking and jogging track all round the lake.
- Benches facing the water from different sides.
