About the garden
The Late Sanjay Mahadeo Nimhan Gram Sanskruti Garden shows city children what life in a Maharashtrian village is like. It recreates a whole village, from the village gate (ves) and the Patil's wada to the Gram Panchayat, cattle sheds and farm tools.
The park has 555 life-size statues in 68 scenes: the blacksmith, barber, cobbler, goldsmith, astrologer, tailor, farmer and carpenter, a village school, a wedding, bhajan and kirtan, and even a Palkhi procession. It is next to the Someshwar temple and the river bank.

- The traditional village trades (balutedar and alutedar) shown through statues.
- A village school, market, cowshed and a wedding scene.
- A Palkhi procession and a Gram Panchayat dispute-settling scene.
- Models of wild animals in their natural setting.
