Grishneshwar is at Verul, very close to the Ellora caves. The red stone temple was rebuilt in the eighteenth century by Ahilyabai Holkar. Men usually enter the inner shrine bare-chested, as is the custom here.
Combine the visit with the Ellora caves (a World Heritage Site) and Daulatabad fort. From Pune, drive via Ahilyanagar and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
