The twelve Jyotirlingas are the most sacred temples of Lord Shiva, where Shiva is worshipped as a column of light. Three of them are in Maharashtra near Pune: Bhimashankar in Pune district, Trimbakeshwar near Nashik and Grishneshwar near Ellora.
