Garmin adds new chapter to Venu series in India Launches Venu® 2 and 2S

The new Venu series gets advanced with:

• Sleek stainless steel bezel and comfortable silicone band

• New Health Snapshot feature providing an in-depth report of the workout
• Enhanced battery life with rapid battery recharge and new battery saver mode
• Available in two sizes (Venu 2: 45mm watch case with 22mm band and the Venu 2S: 40mm watch case with 18mm band).

New Delhi, 5^th July 2021: With an ambition to provide the users with precise fitness solutions and a healthier way of life, Garmin India, a unit of Garmin Ltd. (NASDAQ: GRMN) today launched the Venu® 2 and Venu 2S GPS smartwatches. The new Venu series is designed with attractive features to provide meaningful insights on the overall wellness of the users with scientific-based tracking.

The latest edition of the Venu series comes with a new built-in Health Snapshot feature, enabling the users to log a 2-minute session to record key health stats,  including heart rate¹, heart rate variability, Pulse Ox², respiration, and stress, generating a report via the Garmin Connect™ app to monitor the statistics.

Further, these smartwatches can effortlessly track health and wellness. The Venu series has a comprehensive suite of health-monitoring features along with improved interface design where users can find more ways to work out with the enhanced strength training profile and muscle map graphics that come to life on the bright AMOLED display.

The smartwatches are integrated with a wide range of features ranging from respiration tracking, Pulse Ox sensor, body battery energy monitoring, stress tracking, pregnancy, and menstrual cycle monitoring, sleep monitoring along other additional health monitoring metrics to track the users’ fitness goals and progress.

 The Venu® 2 and Venu 2S come with a 45mm watch case and a 40mm watch case respectively. The smartwatches feature more than 25 built-in sports applications with preloaded enhanced high-intensity workouts, animated cardio, strength, yoga, and Pilates.

Work on better health

The Venu 2/2S will know your body better with the broadest range of 24/7 health monitoring features available, including heart rate (with user-configurable alerts for high or low readings¹), fitness age, advanced sleep with sleep score and insights, respiration, Pulse Ox, all-day stress, hydration, and women’s health (menstrual cycle tracking and pregnancy tracking). Body Battery^TM energy monitoring shows users how “charged” their body is, helpful for scheduling workouts, rest times, and sleep.

 When it’s time to recharge, the Venu 2/2S advanced tracks light, deep, and REM sleep stages as well as movement, Pulse Ox, and respiration. With a new sleep score powered by Firstbeat Analytics users receive a score based on the quality and quantity of the previous night’s sleep. These details plus personalized insights on how to improve sleep quality are viewable on the watch itself as well as in Garmin Connect^TM. The Venu 2/2S offers structured breathwork activities designed to promote focus and relaxation.

Work on training efficiently

Whether exercising at home, in the gym, or the great outdoors, the Venu 2 makes it easy to stay active and engaged. The new advanced strength training profile and workouts put weight scaling and strength PRs right on the device and include graphics showing which muscle groups were worked. With new activity profiles for HIIT (including AMRAP, EMOM, Tabata, and custom timers), indoor climbing, bouldering, and hiking, the Venu 2/2S has over 25 built-in indoor and GPS sports apps with favorites that include walking, running, cycling, pool swimming, golf, Pilates and yoga.

Safety and tracking features provide peace of mind with automatic incident detection (during outdoor walks, runs, or rides) and manually triggered assistance alerts both of which send real-time locations to emergency contacts. LiveTrack lets friends and family track the user’s outdoor activity³.

The Venu 2 series makes it easy to switch up a stale fitness routine with a variety of workout options that include preloaded workouts on the watch, preset workouts available to download from Garmin Connect, and “create your own” customizable workouts with over 1,400 exercises to choose from. Over 75 preset animated workouts for cardio, yoga, strength, HIIT, and Pilates demonstrate proper form and technique right in Garmin Connect or on the wrist. Whether training for a 5K or something longer, the Venu 2/2S is compatible with Garmin Coach-free adaptive training plans.

Work on moving stylishly

Enjoy all-day connection and convenience with a host of smart features including built-in music (download up to 650 songs including playlists from Spotify^® and Amazon Music⁴) smart notifications for text messages (Android^TM users can reply from the device), calendar reminders, incoming calls, and more. Personalize the Venu 2 with apps, watch faces, and more available to download from the Connect IQ^TM store. Unlike other smartwatches, the Venu 2 can be used with either Android or Apple^® smartphones³.

Battery Life:

The users can enjoy an enhanced battery life of up to 11 days in smartwatch mode and up to 8 hours in GPS mode on the Venu 2 and 10 days on smartwatch mode and up to 7 hours in GPS mode on Venu 2S and with rapid recharging.
