Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, 84, has said that his doctors have advised him strict rest, and that he will not be able to write or reply to messages for some time.
In a short post on X and on his blog on 21 October 2026, the actor apologised to his fans for his silence. Sharing his Dussehra greetings, he asked those whose personal messages he could not answer to forgive him, and to take his note as his reply for now, adding that he hoped to write more later.
