Career
Chandu Borde was a stylish batsman and leg-spin bowler who played Test cricket for India from 1958 to 1969. He captained India in one Test, in Australia in 1967 to 1968. In domestic cricket he played mostly for Maharashtra.
After playing
He later served Indian cricket as chairman of the national selection committee and as a team manager. He is one of the best-loved sporting figures of Pune.
