The keys were handed over to 15 customers of neo sports café inspired CB650R and CBR650R in a single day.

Key Features

Tightly wrapped and aggressive, the CB650R’s Neo-Sports Café style features the signature compact ‘Trapezoid’ proportion of short, stubby tail and short overhang headlight. With its four-cylinder power unit clearly on display, the CBR650R’s wrapping ramps up the pure sporting appeal; with a sharp new reflector profile for 2021 – and the upper and (extended) lower fairings blend muscularity with slim lines and angles.

The 649cc, DOHC 16-valve engine is tuned to create pure enjoyable in-line four-cylinder performance, with the classically fast ‘pick-up’ through the rev range and hard-hitting, high-revving top end. Max net power of 64 kW arrives @ 12,000rpm with max net torque of 57.5 Nm delivered at 8,500 rpm. Both models come with Assist/slipper clutch that eases upshifts and manages hard-down changes. Further, the 4-1 side-swept exhaust has been designed to deliver a spine-tingling roar as revs climb.

The motorcycles boast new smart ESS (Emergency Stop Signal) technology, new Honda Ignition Security System (HISS), and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). CBR650R gets Dual LED headlights with new reflectors that light up your path with the intense blue-tinted beam. The LED taillight is sleek and minimalistic form. While CB650R comes with circular LED headlight equipped with a sharp black bezel, helps rider cut through dark areas with the intense blue-tinted beam. The taillight tucked above the steel number plate mount is minimal in style. The digital LCD instrument cluster is easier to read. Advanced informatics like Gear Position, Digital Speedometer, Digital Bar Graph Tachometer, Dual Trip Meters, Digital Fuel Level Gauge & Fuel Consumption Gauge, Digital Clock, Water Temp Gauge, Gear position, Shift UP Indicator keeps the rider informed on the go.

 Design that exudes tough adventure and lives a free attitude

 Taking style cues from the legendary Africa Twin, the new CB500X blends rugged lines with an aggressive stance.

Full LED lighting – including both headlamp and tail lamp ensure no path is dark for the rider to navigate through. Compact signal indicators and a clear screen tail lamp give CB500X a sporty outlook.

 Its diamond-shaped steel-tube mainframe ties to the engine with four mounts, resulting in a rock-solid foundation for superior riding, handling, and 181mm ground clearance. CB500X capitulates to the rider’s control by placing the heavier part closer to the center of gravity and engine in close proximity to the swingarm pivot point. All of this offers a tuned rigidity balance ensuring outstanding feedback while riding.

 The long-stroke 41mm front suspension enhances the riding dynamics of the motorcycle, thus providing the ultimate riding experience to the rider.

 Honda Pro-Link rear suspension with 9-stage spring preload adjustment provides a comfortable ride over uneven roads. The shock absorber features large-diameter internals for even better damping characteristics and a smoother ride. Face the winds on your way in style through a tall windscreen that gives supreme protection and extreme rideability.

 Making CB500X a perfect companion on every terrain are the strong yet lightweight multi-spoke cast-aluminum wheels (19-inch front and 17-inch rear). The CB500X seat offers an open, unrestricted riding position that is perfect for both touring and daily commuting. Stop at traffic lights or in parking lots with ease through narrow seat shoulders and 830mm seat height that makes it easier to put feet down.

 The CB500X comes equipped with the smart ESS (Emergency Stop Signal) technology that detects sudden braking and automatically activates the front and rear hazard lights, which flash to warn nearby vehicles.

 The CB500X features Honda Ignition Security System (HISS) theft-deterrent, reinforced handlebar lock structures, and strengthened key cylinders ultimately giving peace of mind to the rider.

 A negative display LCD meter provides good visibility. The advanced information displayed like Gear Position Indicator, Engine Temperature Indicator, ABS indicator keep the rider updated in any given riding environment.

 CB500X employs Dual Channel ABS that instills greater confidence when brakes are applied in an emergency or when operated on slippery roads. The front 310mm and rear 240mm drilled petal-style disc brakes maintain efficient braking control over a wide variety of riding conditions.

 The lively 8-valve liquid-cooled parallel twin-cylinder engine delivers max power of 35kw@8500rpm and max torque of 43.2Nm@6500rpm. Usable power and torque offered across the range make CB500X a perfect motorcycle for city riding as well as a powerful machine for rough terrain.

 Being the youngest member of the adventure bike family, the CB500X features Assist/Slipper Clutch, which eases upshifts and manages rear wheel lock-up on hard downshifts while decelerating. The free-revving engine mated with a slick 6-speed gearbox promises a thrilling ride both on and off-road.

 The upswept exhaust brings upon the adventure side of the motorcycle and helps to go through rough and water-filled trail rides. The muffler internal chamber has been engineered for efficiency and tuned to add a crisp grunty exhaust note to the riding experience.
