 Design that exudes tough adventure and lives a free attitude

 Taking style cues from the legendary Africa Twin, the new CB500X blends rugged lines with an aggressive stance.

Full LED lighting – including both headlamp and tail lamp ensure no path is dark for the rider to navigate through. Compact signal indicators and a clear screen tail lamp give CB500X a sporty outlook.

 Its diamond-shaped steel-tube mainframe ties to the engine with four mounts, resulting in a rock-solid foundation for superior riding, handling, and 181mm ground clearance. CB500X capitulates to the rider’s control by placing the heavier part closer to the center of gravity and engine in close proximity to the swingarm pivot point. All of this offers a tuned rigidity balance ensuring outstanding feedback while riding.

 The long-stroke 41mm front suspension enhances the riding dynamics of the motorcycle, thus providing the ultimate riding experience to the rider.

 Honda Pro-Link rear suspension with 9-stage spring preload adjustment provides a comfortable ride over uneven roads. The shock absorber features large-diameter internals for even better damping characteristics and a smoother ride. Face the winds on your way in style through a tall windscreen that gives supreme protection and extreme rideability.

 Making CB500X a perfect companion on every terrain are the strong yet lightweight multi-spoke cast-aluminum wheels (19-inch front and 17-inch rear). The CB500X seat offers an open, unrestricted riding position that is perfect for both touring and daily commuting. Stop at traffic lights or in parking lots with ease through narrow seat shoulders and 830mm seat height that makes it easier to put feet down.

 The CB500X comes equipped with the smart ESS (Emergency Stop Signal) technology that detects sudden braking and automatically activates the front and rear hazard lights, which flash to warn nearby vehicles.

 The CB500X features Honda Ignition Security System (HISS) theft-deterrent, reinforced handlebar lock structures, and strengthened key cylinders ultimately giving peace of mind to the rider.

 A negative display LCD meter provides good visibility. The advanced information displayed like Gear Position Indicator, Engine Temperature Indicator, ABS indicator keep the rider updated in any given riding environment.

 CB500X employs Dual Channel ABS that instills greater confidence when brakes are applied in an emergency or when operated on slippery roads. The front 310mm and rear 240mm drilled petal-style disc brakes maintain efficient braking control over a wide variety of riding conditions.

 A fun ride that packs a punch

 The lively 8-valve liquid-cooled parallel twin-cylinder engine delivers max power of 35kw@8500rpm and max torque of 43.2Nm@6500rpm. Usable power and torque offered across the range make CB500X a perfect motorcycle for city riding as well as a powerful machine for rough terrain.

 Being the youngest member of the adventure bike family, the CB500X features Assist/Slipper Clutch, which eases upshifts and manages rear wheel lock-up on hard downshifts while decelerating. The free-revving engine mated with a slick 6-speed gearbox promises a thrilling ride both on and off-road.

 The upswept exhaust brings upon the adventure side of the motorcycle and helps to go through rough and water-filled trail rides. The muffler internal chamber has been engineered for efficiency and tuned to add a crisp grunty exhaust note to the riding experience.

Gurugram, March 1, 2021: Maintaining positive sales growth momentum for the 7^th consecutive month, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. today announced its February 2021 sales.

Honda 2Wheelers India closed February’21 with a strong 31% jump in domestic sales to 411,578 units in Feb’21 as compared to 315,285 units sold last year.

Parallelly, Honda’s exports grew 16% to 31,118 units with its BS-VI model’s exports gaining momentum in new overseas markets as well.

Honda’s total sales jumped by a strong 29% to 442,696 units compared to 342,021 units last year.

This growth was led by 1 lac+ additional two-wheelers sales (+100,675 units) in Feb’21 vs. last year.

Talking about the sales achievement, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director – Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “While the industry growth is expected to hover near the double digits in Q4 and upcoming Q1 due to the low base of BSVI transition, Honda continues to drive the 2Wheeler demand recovery for 2^nd straight month of 2021. Backed by robust demand for our models across both Red Wing and Silver Wing (300cc+ premium motorcycles), Honda’s sales have surged 31% in February’21. We are confident of maintaining the positive sales momentum in coming months too, with our 3 new models (CB350RS, 2021 Africa Twin Adventure Sports, Grazia sports edition) exciting the market.”

Honda 2 Wheelers India – February 2021 key highlights

1. Premium Motorcycle business:

•   Brand New Model CB350RS: Honda added a new chapter to CB legacy with the global premier of its 2^nd Made in India for the World – all new CB350RS. Based on the Road Sailing Concept, the CB350RS comes loaded with Segment first technologies (Assist and slipper clutch, Advanced Digital-analogue meter, and Honda Selectable Torque Control HSTC) at a price starting INR 1,96,000.
•  Further enhancing the “go anywhere” spirit of its predecessors, Honda 2Wheelers commenced the deliveries of 2021 Africa Twin Adventure Sports in India.
•   BigWing network expansion: In February, Honda inaugurated 3 new BigWing showrooms in Siliguri, Vadodara & Thane. With this, Honda’s premium motorcycle business has now expanded to 5 Honda BigWing Topline (for the entire premium motorcycle range starting 300cc) and 18 Honda BigWings (for 300-500cc mid-size premium motorcycle).

2. Sales milestones:

• Continuing its leadership in the South, Honda celebrated 1.5 crore customers in the South region.
• Parallelly, in its momentous 20^th year of Indian operations, Honda 2Wheelers India also announced that it is now the first choice of more than 70 lac families in North India.
•   H’ness CB350 touches 10000 sales mark – Honda remarkably achieved over 10,000 sales for H’ness CB350 in India. Notably, Honda commenced the customer deliveries for CB350 on 21^st October last year and has been able to achieve this sales milestone in a period of just 3 months.

3. 32^nd National Road Safety Month celebrations

   Taking forward the ‘Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha’ theme for road safety, Honda educated 1.2 lac kids and adults across more than 160 cities during the 32nd National Road Safety Month.
