Pune, 7^th January 2022: Supriya Shinde, an IT professional from Pune recently won the Mrs. Maharashtra title at Mrs. India One in a Million Season 2.  A total of 100 Finalists competed at the Mrs. India Finale event in Delhi and got crowned for different Titles. Supriya won the title amongst 33 Contestants in her category after 3 different rounds. These rounds included grueling tasks of grooming, mentoring, and performance sessions that also included negative marking spanning across various days until the Finale. Former Mrs. World & Bollywood actress Aditi Govitrikar graced the show as a celebrity jury.

Supriya was born and brought up in Nashik. After her father suffered huge losses in business, Supriya completed her education with her extended family’s support.  With a knack for dancing, singing, and acting as a kid, she performed at school, college, and social functions and a prestigious group belonging to Padmashree Shaher Sable called Maharashtra Lokdhara Group. After completing her Engineering from Pune University, she left Nashik permanently and challenged her patriarchal upbringing by landing a job in Pune. With 12 years spent in the IT industry, she finally decided to pursue her passion in the Entertainment industry post marriage and motherhood.

Supriya comments on winning Mrs. Maharashtra, “As an IT professional, I was completely drowned in work and had no connection to the Beauty Industry. However, I always had an Inner Calling to try something in the Entertainment Industry. Initially, I was hesitant as I had put on a lot of weight post pregnancy and had to look after my 4-year-old son in addition to managing my job. However, once I expressed my desire to my husband, he encouraged me to compete in this pageant and was very supportive throughout the journey. He has been my biggest support.”

She further adds, “I also want to thank my Pageant coach, Ritika Ramtri. Even when she has coached so many celebrities, she is a grounded person and helped me take baby steps in training and mentoring as a sister, friend, and confidante. In addition to this, I would like to thank my Fitness Trainer Yash Patel who inspired me to lose weight and become fit for the event. I believe the crown truly belongs to family members and other close aides for the extra efforts and for going out of the way to help me. ”

Even after her feeling unwell during the pageant in Delhi, she kept her strong will intact and managed to bag one of the most prestigious titles. The beauty pageant was organized by Tiska Pageants founded by Prashant Chaudhary and Swati Dixit. The show was choreographed by renowned Fashion Show choreographer Kapil Ghauri. Designers Anjali Sahni and Kingshuk Bhaduri showcased their Couture collection through contestants in the Grand Finale.
