About Raman Negi
For the most part of the last two decades, Raman Negi has garnered the reputation of a
singer-songwriter responsible for creating music that breaks free from the shackles of
trends, genres, language, and themes. Now he is doing all this and more while redefining
what it means to be an independent artist with his solo project. Rooted in self-discovery,
he is focused on building second-to-none artistry that resonates with his quest of
unlearning as well as relearning in the past two years pertaining to his personal and
professional life.
Raman’s first solo album, ‘Shakhsiyat’ is a reflection of his inarticulate emotions spread
across 10 diverse rock records including a rant against the pseudo-woke in our country, a
ballad about a child’s lost dreams and a narcissistic tell-all of musicians – culminating all
the stories he always wanted to tell but couldn’t up until now.

Bangalore, 27 October 2021: The annual Deeksha Inter-Campus Extravaganza (dICE) this year brought out unique competitions such as creating ‘Wealth Out of Waste’ and ‘What’s on your mind?’ among others, bringing diverse student talent to the forefront. Flute players, Bharatanatyam artists, budding environmentalists, orators and artists, classical and western singers, etc. came together on a virtual platform to inspire each other and keep their creative juices flowing through the academic year. About 1600 students have participated to date in the year-long festivities.

‘Wealth out of Waste’, a competitive activity, saw enthused participation from students where they were required to create a product with 90% of its composition made of waste items and the remaining 10% with glue, threads, batteries, etc. Among many creative products, Arighna Chowdhury created a boat using green energy, Nandana Harshakumar created plant holders made from ID card tags, and twin brothers Deep & Veid Patange created a coffee table carved from a spare car tire. Other unique creations included coconut shells which were scrubbed smooth and contrived into colorful bobblehead figurines.

Deep and Void used old tires and made useful products

“The challenges this year exceeded our expectations and were very exciting. It gave us relief from the monotony caused by the pandemic and we always had a new and fun competition to focus on. We also bonded very well with each other through the various programs and made new friends too!” said Siddharth, a student of Deeksha.

Dr. Sridhar G., Founder, Deeksha, said, “It was really a delight to watch these little kids come up with such innovative ideas and their enthusiasm and positivity is commendable. Amidst the pandemic and being locked up indoors for the past 18 months, students’ participation this year exceeded that of the previous year. We are hoping the upcoming editions will see even more ingenuity and talent. Hearty congratulations to all the students.”

Fun challenges such as ‘What’s on Your Mind?’ brought back a golden era of silent movies with a twist where students were challenged to rethink dialogue and character interaction in video material. Winners Anarghya Acharya, Suhas Hebbar, Nandana Harshakumar took away the prizes with their exceptional performances. Similarly, ‘Pick n Speak’ gave students the opportunity to voice their opinions as the event tested the oratorical prowess of the participants, in three different categories – English, Telugu, and Kannada. Students Lakshana Navasundi, Ch. Tanisha, Govinda V Mirji came out as the champions in the event with a thoughtful discussion.

The Deeksha Inter-Campus Extravaganza also included a gamut of other events including Shutterbug, Sudoku, Flameless (Cooking without Fire), Poetry to keep students creatively engaged throughout the lockdown. As social ties are a crucial part of socio-emotional development, the team at Deeksha identified innovative ways to keep the incoming batch of 2021 – 23 engaged and interactive. Now, with campuses reopening, Deeksha has been geared to help children and parents with the transition and the academic calendar is dotted with the activities to facilitate the blossoming of children’s potential. At Deeksha, mentorship is defined by the ethos of Wellness and Care, and they constitute its pedagogical core.

Jaipur Rugs In Collaboration With Abin Chaudhuri Pays Ode To The Soul Of Architecture Through A New Collection Launch

National, April 21, 2021: Jaipur Rugs, one of India’s largest manufacturers of hand-knotted rugs unveils its new collection ‘Archetype’ in collaboration with Abin Chaudhuri.

The new collection is an amalgamation of Jaipur Rugs’ decades of craftsmanship with Abin Chaudhuri’s vision and design aesthetic drawing inspiration from architecture in different epochs i.e., Ancient, Vintage, Modern, Brutalist, and Contemporary.

Derived from the Greek word ‘arkhetupon’, meaning something molded first as a model, Archetype presents the fundamental principles of architecture through simple forms, colors, and shapes on rugs. Addressing variations of the human personality through architectural philosophies – from ancient to contemporary, each design is driven to inspire, seamlessly introducing creative energy in spaces. Archetype embodies the soul of architecture through elemental forms made by hand.

Jaipur Rugs is a story of empowered artisans, with a close-knit community of more than 40,000 spread across 600 villages in India. These artisans have gone through rigorous training to uphold the quality standards promised with every rug and system in place for choice of material sourcing, timely delivery, and sustainable production.

Speaking on the collection, Yogesh Chaudhary commented, “With every new collection we aim to collaborate with people who can showcase the ancestral art of rug making with a new vision. We seek to deliver a creative combination of age-old art and modern interpretation. With Archetype, Abin has highlighted various facets of human personality through architectural philosophies. With his graphical visual interpretation of architectural eras, he has helped us add some great designs to our product offering. His rugs have a fresh take on architectural tents that will work beautifully in all kinds of homes and settings. His eclectic designs and style concepts will add depth, dimension, and perspective into a customer’s space.”

Jaipur Rugs in collaboration with Abin Chaudhuri pays ode to the soul of architecture through a new collection launchArchetype embodies the soul of architecture through elemental forms made by hand. It presents the fundamental principles of architecture through simple forms, colors, and shapes on rugs. It celebrates the idea that in every magnificent creation of man lies a concept that is simple, primitive, and driven by collective evolution. To me, carpets are like artwork – knitted pieces of art lying on the floor. They enrich the space by adding value as it is fine-tuned in the design stage to artistically fit these new world interiors while also reflecting on the heritage. Each design in the collection is driven to inspire, seamlessly introducing creative energy in spaces”.  says Abin Chaudhuri founder, Abin Design Studio

Experience this collection on https://www.jaipurrugs.com/collection/archetype starting April 21, 2021.

About Abin Chaudhuri

Abin Chaudhuri founded Abin Design Studio, which is exploring the ‘unknown’ journey, experimentation with materials and technology, and engaging art and culture, aiming to provide a ‘soul in the shell’. The studio is engaging design in the urban fabric and peri-urban edge, as a catalyst for deliberate change.

His work focuses on the idea of holistic design, not just limiting to ideas, but also physical manifestation through multi-disciplinary collaboration. His explorations intend to push the boundaries of thought, prevalent socio-cultural landscape, and spatial construct, challenging the role of architecture in society, by being unafraid of unfamiliar explorations. The studio is also the recipient of several national and international accolades.

World Art Day with Freedom of Art

World Art Day, an international event of fine arts, is celebrated on 15 April. The day was adopted by the International Association of Art, a partner of UNESCO, to create awareness of creative activity worldwide. World Art Day was celebrated on this day in 2012 and the date – 15 April – was chosen in honor of Leonardo da Vinci’s birth anniversary. World Art Day was officially held for the first time in the City of Los Angeles in 2015. Different art-related events, worship, and exhibitions are conducted on this day and the last week-long sometimes to sing the praise of this auspicious day. Due to the second wave of covid-19, the neo-normalized life in most of the cities is undergoing restrictive measures.

World Art Day with Freedom of Art

Social distancing rigidity is resuming once again. Keeping this in mind Soumita Saha come up with the solo virtual Exhibition Freedom of Art. Freedom of Art not only features some of her already renowned work but also features sine new work amongst which ‘Monon a Robi’ an artwork depicting Tagore is mention-worthy. Soumita’s Solo Exhibitions Imagining Neverland and Nari Katha earned huge appreciation. ‘Freedom of Art‘ conveys the praise of freedom that touches the canvas to make Art. Soumita says ” A single day to sing the praise of art is too less, those who are associated with art we inhale the essence of art, dream in the colors of art. But yes for the patrons of art there must be a day to celebrate Art.”

The post Bhagyashree Deshpande collaborates with Fevicol A+ in an attempt to create Limca Book of Records at High Street Phoenix in Mumbai appeared first on PuneDiary.Com.

Mumbai, 12th September 2018:  Fevicol A+, a specialized adhesive brand for crafting from the house of Pidilite, supported artist Bhagyashree Deshpande in the attempt to etch her name in the prestigious Limca Book of Records by creating the largest paper-quilling Ganesh idol at the High Street Phoenix premises in Mumbai.

Unveiled today, in the build-up to the Ganesh Chaturthi at High Street Phoenix in Lower Parel, the idol stands five feet and two inches tall. Made from 40,000 paper strips glued together with 50 bottles of Fevicol A+ of 85 gms each had been largely completed beforehand by Deshpande and had 50 students from schools across Mumbai come together for applying the finishing touches today.

Fevicol A+ proved to be ideally suited to the creation of Deshpande’s work of art. A newly-launched adhesive from Pidilite Industries, Fevicol A+ works on multiple surfaces like cardboard, felt, foam and other solid craft materials. Moreover, its special formulation ensures a no-spill and hassle-free experience which makes it ideal for crafting.

Bhagyashree Deshpande said, “Making an entry into the Limca Book of Records is never easy and with the support of Fevicol A+, I am attempting to achieve the esteemed record. Fevicol A+ played an essential role in helping me create this idol as its superior adhesive properties meant I was able to work with not just paper, but also accessories with ease and speed. As a result, I got more time for the actual crafting. Paper quilling is an art the requires an immense amount of patience but using Fevicol A+ just made the whole process from start to finish so much easier.”

Mr. Shantanu Bhanja, CEO, Consumer Products, Pidilite Industries Ltd said, “At Pidilite Industries, we are committed to unleashing creativity through art and craft. Creativity is more akin to a learned skill than an innate quality. On this auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, we aimed at giving the future generation of budding artists a platform to explore their creative side through the paper-quilling Ganesha Idol activity. At the same time, we also aimed at educating the children and spread awareness about sustainability and eco-friendly products which is the need of the hour.”

Mr. Rajendra Kalkar, President (West), The Phoenix Mills Ltd said, “We are truly excited to be associated with Fevicol A+ and Bhayashree Deshpande, who are fostering sustainable art through this initiative at our premises. We are certain our customers will get inspired by this exercise and influence sustainability in their own circles.
